Ukulele Wednesdays

A new weekly option to practice together on Zoom!

This is a great way to add a day to your Don't Break the Chain tracker to turn your ukulele playing into a daily habit!

We now have a Google Group you can join to find out if we are meeting and what songs we'll be playing.

Dear past student,

It felt great to get back into the classroom again. Between Paso Robles & Cuesta College, I enjoyed teaching 40 more of you how to play their first song on the ukulele

I'm excited to share that one of my students from our session at Cuesta, Ly-Lan (pronounced 'Lee Lawn'), has started a weekly Wednesday night meetup on Zoom to keep her practice going (and to help others keep the momentum of a regular time to practice). I'll also pop on when I can.

Last week she worked out some of the technical hurdles, so this week should be smooth sailing.

She'll be referring back to songs we played in class, so be sure to have your ukulele workbook ready for each call.

More from Ly-Lan:

"Let's greet each other for a bit, choose 3 or more songs to play along to, and then play along to videos.Folks can be on mute, or join in (not perfect syncing). A quick 30 minute weekly gathering to keep the momentum going. We can meet longer (the zoom will be open). Let's stick with ukulele and music related conversation, to be safe and welcoming to all."

Note: I will be teaching again in February at both Cuesta & Paso Robles. Going forward I'll try to continue teaching twice a year: Typically in February & October. I'll send out details with January's song of the month.

Uke on and Happy Holidays,
~ Brian
